About this deal

It has a resolution of 720 x 480 pixels (with 3 dots per pixel - it has white dots scattered throughout, in the place of some green ones, I believe). I've also seen some great scenic stuff shot at 135mm, but if someone asks for the best ALL AROUND lens for scenic, the suggestions will be for 14-24 99% of the time. To counteract this, I have been checking the camera more often to make sure this issue is minimized. And while it was a pleasant experience with menus that for the most part, was easy to both navigate and understand, I've hardly taken a look at them at all since then. This reduces noise, delivering superb resolution and color reproduction across the entire sensitivity range.

I’m now going out into the city again, but you know what, I still rarely take the X100V out of my bag but I’m using my iPhone instead.I love the GR III because of its size and weight, so I don't want to suggest it needs a lot of other features that would make it bigger or heavier or more expensive.

I’ve had several point-and-shoot cameras with 1” sensors over the past few years, including several versions of the Sony rx100, and while they offer a lot of compelling features, I was looking for something offering a bit better image quality. Not having a flash suits me just fine, the only time I missed it was when I was taking family shots at night in a bar or restaurant. Speaking of connectivity, it's also worth mentioning that I generally liked the quality of the JPG files that this camera produces, particularly when using the "Positive Film" Image Control setting. It’s unfortunate that they didn’t foresee the option of setting up an arbitrary focus distance in the snap mode.

Highlight-weighted] helps keep the exposure even, suppressing highlight blowouts in subjects illuminated by spotlights and high-contrast subjects. A Ricoh GR is designed to be a true-pocketable camera and that is its strength in design, if one desires all the other bells and whistles there are many options. The RX 100 IV is acting up again, only a few months after an expensive trip to Sony's authorized repair center. On my camera I’ve made sure that I can easily change aperture, dial in exposure compensation, go into macro mode, switch ISO settings, and switch JPG simulations.

Camera technical details can get complicated quickly, but we all need a place to start before diving into the deep end. This model is one-size smaller than that of the GR II and about the same size of GR DIGITAL IV with a 1/1.In addition to full-resolution, wide-angle images, a pair of useful crop modes—35mm at 15MP and 50mm at 7MP—let you simulate the look of working with longer focal lengths. If the writing speed cannot keep up with the recording speed, writing may be interrupted during recording. And you only pocket one if you are willing to run the roulette wheel chance of debris on your sensor that is near impossible to remove. There is no need to mess with single point AF, or face detection, no need to half press the shutter and wait for focus confirmation, just a full press and you’ve got a useable shot (as long as you’re good at estimating distances).
