About this deal

Shoppers will be cider themselves as Aldi introduces a new range of ready-to-drink cider cans, which combine its award-winning spirits with tropical fruit flavours – perfect for bank holiday sipping and just 99p a can!

This pale lemon beverage is presented in a stylish and angular bottle with an attractive music-themed label reflecting the ingredients as well as the tuneful distiller. The gin is made for Tesco by Two Tykes Distillery in the UK. The Melodist Mango and Passion Fruit Gin is a melange of traditional London Dry Gin with hints of exotic mango and passion fruit. Enjoy long or short I was walking through a local specialty grocery store the other day, truly in awe of all the beautiful fruits and vegetables that were on display – purple asparagus, figs, candy cane beets, among many other things (I swear unique fruits and vegetables are like an art form to me!). It’s post Christmas, and I am in the mood for a party – because it’s nearly New Years eve! For this years New Years eve bake I have gone down the line of one of my favourite drinks in the world (because I am extremely basic) – a passionfruit martini in cupcake form… so here are my passionfruit martini cupcakes! Herbs & plants: rosemary, thyme, lavender, mint, elderflowerRemember, the more you use the stronger the flavour. Use around 200-400g of fruit per litre of spirit. A single sip of our Mango and Passion Fruit Gin Liqueur is bursting with bold flavours and infused with cacao nibs for a smooth and satisfying drinking experience. Our gin liqueurs use real fruit flavours for full-bodied, authentic tastes and aromas that work beautifully as a standalone tipple or mixed with your favourite tonic. With such bounteous natural ingredients at our fingertips, there’s no need for artificial flavours or colourings. For the buttercream frosting I followed a similar idea to my gin & tonic cupcakes, but obviously with vodka! If you wanted to have a Prosecco hit, you can try and add it here using a Prosecco syrup (boiling down Prosecco and sugar to a syrup) – but I just went straight with the vodka. What mixer goes with gin liqueur? This is a question that many people ask, and there is no one definitive answer. However, there are a few mixers that work well with gin liqueur.

Mango and Passion Fruit, two delightful flavours that come together in perfect harmony to transport you to the sunny isle of Saint Lucia. A classic combination that’s simple yet effective. Whether the sun is shining where you are or not, let these tropical heroes embrace your taste buds like a balmy Caribbean breeze. Lime Juice — Again, freshly squeezed juice! The lime adds a subtle sour contrast with the sweet mango flavor. How to store: If your bottles or jars are well sealed, strained correctly and kept in a cool, dark place, your spirits can keep for up to a year. Passion fruit gin liqueur is a delicious drink that can be enjoyed on its own or mixed with other beverages. Here is how to serve it:Once baked into the beautiful baking cups I chose, and fresh out of the oven, I spooned over some vodka. This naturally soaked into the sponges as they cooled. I then cored out some of the cupcake to add in some passionfruit curd. This is utterly optional, but who doesn’t love an extra passionfruit flavour?!

Inspired by the tropical delights of the natural world, our Mango and Passion Fruit Gin Liqueur is the perfect drink for those long summer afternoons.

Finally, you can also mix gin liqueur with soda. This is a great option if you are looking for a light and refreshing drink. Additionally, soda is a great mixer if you are on a budget, as it is a relatively inexpensive drink. If you want to impress your guests and ensure it looks as good as it tastes, we enjoy garnishing with extra passionfruit seeds (for that added bit of crunch), but you can of course strain it if you’d like it completely smooth. Alternatively, you can pair with a squeeze of lime and your favourite tonic for a refreshing sparkling option. Or why not mix into a martini for a contemporary twist on a classic? Beware of leaving it too long and over-infusing the mixture, though - in the same way that a cup of tea with the teabag left in too long can taste horrible, so too can flavoured gin!
