We operate trains daily from late March to the end of October. Part time position, approx. 16 hours per week over 2 days, additional hours may be available during busy summer season

This will suit a young person who prefers to learn on the job and is keen to get involved in an engineering environment and find out about the range of skills needed to keep the workshops and therefore the trains running smoothly. The trainee will be supported through a programme of training and development, including appropriate qualifications. This role will predominantly involve working shifts at Harbour Station in Porthmadog, however cleaners may be required to work at other stations on a relief basis. At Harbour Station the main responsibilities are cleaning the café & bar and the station platforms and toilets. You must be able to work cleanly and tidily; ideally you will have experience of commercial cleaning, however training can be provided if required.
