About this deal

Apply in dry conditions, above 5 degrees Celsius and when bad weather is not forecast, minimum of 2 coats required. The final colour will vary depending on the surface and number of coats. If adhesion is inadequate on previous coatings, lightly sand before application. Make sure wood has been pre treated with appropriate wood preserver to prevent wood and decay. Painting our fence blue started the ball rolling when it came to planning our Mediterranean-inspired garden. Flowers and plants are no longer the only thing that are fabulous at injecting colour into your garden, we no longer have to be restrained when it comes to choosing garden paint colours for our fence or sheds (even if your neighbours think you’ve gone barking mad when you start painting your fence a neon pink you can see from space! 🙂 Table top painted in Cuprinol Sweet Sundae We put a new fence up around our garden and after a few months over the summer, it was already showing signs of damage. The fence is pine and it desperately needed painting. The deep blue tones of the sea, the aqua hues of the sky, the brightness of the stonewashed buildings in quaint little villages here and there (sorry, went off on a Groove Armada tangent there) and delightful little patios with white gravel and terracotta pots shaded under olive trees.

We love to entertain and wanted a relaxed feel to our garden that wouldn’t need a lot of work or maintenance so when the sun comes out, we can just enjoy it. The mood you want to create – light, bright shades feel airy and calm, while bold saturated shades are dramatic and inviting. Neutral natural wood tones create a relaxed vibe. Olive Garden– If you don’t want to stray too far away from the wood shades of a fence, Olive Garden could work. The natural olive green tone perfectly captures the colors seen in nature. It has an earthy, organic look. As Garden Shades often goes on directly to the wood, without a primer, sometimes it will soak deep into the wood and this can create the need for a third coat. This may be noticeable with rougher woods, open end grains or indeed deep colours. If wood has been exposed and dried out for a long period of time, this may also draw the more of the product away from the surface and into the wood structure. But, injecting colour into your garden doesn’t have to stop at your fence and shed! Here are some of the best options to consider and where to use them: Cuprinol Fence Paint Colours I present to you my fence! And patchy grass (we’re working on it!) Gardens have got it all now haven’t they? Who needs to go indoors ever again? Unless you’re British which means all the time when it starts to rain although no rain was forecast. Anyway… I certainly appreciated the great Mediterranean outdoors with its beautifully patterned tiled patios, white sandy beaches and shallow turquoise waters. Image: La Redoute UK Be mindful that it is waxed-enriched and that once these waxes are dried, they act to repel liquids, which would include an additional coats. Don't try to coat the whole project with one coat before getting onto the next coat. Instead it is better to paint sections in in time chunks of 2-4 hours. You can paint anything really, from terracotta pots (although why you would, I’m not sure. I love a terracotta pot!) to tin cans nailed to your fence. Outdoor kitchens and Potting Shelves MINIMUM OF 2 COATS REQUIRED.
