At first, I just thought this was the typical superhero story but as I read I found how different Invincible is from all the other superhero stories I've read. There were many twists and turns I NEVER saw coming, especially in Volume 3! This is definitely a comic I'll be rereading next year, and the year after just because I'll miss the characters if I don't. The Lizard League: A group of lizard-themed terrorists, they are parodies of fictional reptile-based villain groups The Serpent Society, HYDRA and Cobra. The Lizard League consisted of lizard-named agents along with an army of human followers. Their secret headquarters lies in the Florida Everglades and bears a striking resemblance to a Cobra Terrordrome. Rex Splode: Former member of the Teen Team and the Guardians of the Globe who can make objects explode by charging kinetic energy. He sacrificed himself to kill a hostile alternate-dimension Invincible. These series have been long out of print, but will be collected in the compendium format as Invincible Universe.
