The initial charge lasted me 11 hours of frequent ( read: constant ) use. This is pretty great for an 850mAh battery. My everyday vape (the Aspire Riil X) has a 700mAh battery and only lasts me a few hours before it needs a recharge, and I end up charging it around 3 times a day.

But while airflow preferences are subjective, there are areas where the Caliburn G objectively improved upon the original. The flavor is flat out impressive, and the vape is even warmer now. These were supposed to be the strong suits of the Caliburn, but I put it directly against the G and there’s no comparison, really. The new airflow also improves throat hit significantly, and I find 9 mg regular nicotine very satisfying on it. It’s also great with 20 mg salts, and I don’t feel the need to go higher—which is what I’ve been doing with most of the “Caliburn killers” I’ve tried the last couple of years. This is the second Uwell vape pod I've had - the first being the excellent GK2 which I lost somewhere so when I bought this one I was confident it would work well and it certainly does. I havent had any isssues with leaking, however my friend who also has one has had this occur, but he leaves his in the car and believes it could be down to the change in temperatures (leaks when it gets cold). The Caliburn G pods feature a 2ml e-liquid capacity and are refilled via the silicone stopper top fill which is located by removing the mouthpiece. A plug and play design makes replacing and installing coils a hassle-free process. Compatible with the Caliburn G coils, available in a 0.8 Ohm mesh coil or as a 1.0 Ohm standard coil, we recommend pairing the Caliburn Koko Prime with PG e-liquids of 50% or higher for optimum results.

Final Review Verdict

Of course, this number will vary from user to user based on the length of your puffs, so consider my number a general guide. If you snap the pod onto the battery and align it with the equally small airflow hole on the side – you’ll get the max amount of air. Instead of replaceable pods the Caliburn G takes replaceable coils. These are new “Caliburn G Series Coils” made specifically for it. They only fit into the bottom of the pod in a specific way which requires you to line up the flat side of the coil with the flat notch on the bottom of the pod and they simply push into place. The Caliburn X will likely only need a daily recharge if you’re a regular or standard vaper. If you vape less often, you may only need to charge it every other day or so. Plus, the battery indicator on the screen is really handy. It breaks the battery down into fifths, or 20% increments, so you can always tell where your battery level is at any given time. I much prefer this system to that of other pod vapes, where there’s usually only a single light (or a series of lights) to let you know when the battery is low.

The instruction manual is brilliant and tells you everything you need to know. Sadly there is not an online version as yet. Uwell Caliburn GZ2 Mod The firing button is larger than it was on the original and has a bronze accent ring around it. The bronze accent gives it a classy look that I’m a huge fan of. The button is tactile and responsive when pressed, but the Caliburn G also features draw-activated firing so you can just draw on the mouthpiece to vape. Battery indicator when charging = As above but the Green LED will stay lit (not pulsing) and device will vibrate when fully charged. On the rear of the device the “Uwell” logo is etched in and at the top of that side is a large hook for use with a Lanyard. As the kit doesn’t include a lanyard this does look a bit ugly.Since the e-liquid comes with nicotine in varying degrees, changing pods is a visual and symbolic indicator of going further into your journey. What Coils Does The Caliburn G Use? The Caliburn G coils come in two options; 0.8 ohms and 1.0 ohm to be used with the Caliburn G pods. Warning: If the coils has a sub-ohm resistance, please make sure you have a great understanding and technical knowledge on how to use mods and batteries that can handle Sub-Ohm coils. Do not use short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If you are not familiar or unsure of particular products or set-ups, please do not use it. Always use proper precautions and handling. First and foremost, it’s important to note that the 850mAh battery comes fully charged out of the box. Along with the new LED, Uwell have done well to increase safety precautions; and we’re all about a safe vape, so big up to the team at Uwell! This performed well – I only noticed a slight drop in power when the LED was Red and the last few puffs before the device conked out.
