About this deal

There is no science on this, and the company promoting the product has no data to support there claim. When placed in your dogs water bowl they can help stop those nasty burn patches on your lawn which are caused by your loving pet taking a pee. It is quite obvious to me, that the high levels of urea are not from the drinking water, but from the rest of the dogs diet, and the report by McGill confirms this. You need to remember that these pet products are not going to help you recover already damaged grass. I suggest that as a reviewer who claims to know things would actually put their money where their mouth is and actually trial the product without starting to strip back a dog’s diet for no good reason and without the veterinarian qualifications to make such suggestions which can be significantly more harmful to a dog’s health than some “rocks” in their water bowls….

There are no known harmfull effects on dogs through use of Dog Rocks where Directions for Use are followed. Our back garden was looking very patchy due to the dog urinating on the grass, but after 3 weeks I could notice a real difference…lots of new growth and no more burn patches. Dog Rocks provide a stable matrix and a micro-porous medium in which active components are able to act as a water purifying agent through ion exchange. First discovered in Australia in the late ’90s, Dog Rocks® were tried and tested for many years and are now used by over a million dog owners worldwide to help stop pet urine from burning their grass. Dog Rocks® are a 100% Natural Australian product that will save your lawn from those nasty burn patches that your Dog’s urine can cause. Many pet owners will experience dog urine burning their grass at some point, and those unsightly yellow burn marks on your lawn can become a real problem if you don’t deal with them at the source - your dog! Dog Rocks have been tested in the laboratory and have no influence on the acidity of drinking water or urine. Dog Rocks work by removing the nitrates from your dog’s drinking water and are proven to have no change to the pH balance of your pet’s urine.

The minerals in the igneous stone cause a magnetic charge in water and in turn cause an ion exchange. Interestingly, they do post a report from McGill, Office of Science and Society, which discusses why dog urine has high levels of nitrogen, but this report does not mention Dog Rocks, nor does it put any of the blame for high nitrogen in urine on the water that dogs drink. These rocks should be placed in your dog's water bowl, which causes the nitrate level in your dog's urine to drop and neutralise.I am going to give them a try as I’m at my wits end with the brown patches on my new lawn from dog wee. Made from an Australian paramagnetic igneous rock, Dog Rocks should be placed within your dogs water bowl, and lasts up to 2 months. You will need one pack of Dog Rocks per water bowl and it is very important to make sure that your pet drinks mostly from this source of water, as any other water that they drink will not have been filtered by Dog Rocks and will therefore reduce the benefit of Dog Rocks. One pack of Dog Rocks will last you two months and you will need to change the rocks every two months as they become saturated and less effective. You can trust that there are no harmful side effects to your pet – no effect on pH balance, the only outcome with correct use will be healthy, green grass!
