About this deal

I have spent days trying to sort out an issue, and your site finally gave me the complete answer I needed to hear (I believe). Update: I asked on Twitter and was told that ‘aerosol’ canisters are the most readily available in Cambodia. It would be lovely and probably helpful if you could maybe help out how to match canisters with cookware, so we can maximize space-saving? Propane performs really well at extreme low temperatures, which is why you will find ‘winter-mix’ canisters that hold up to 20% propane.

Some will have packed in a Campingaz stove or, less often, something to hook up to a large and heavy dark green propane bottle weighing a kilogram or so. Why has no-one done a female screw in to easy clic…or has Camingaz got some patent strangle hold on this way round? When gas canisters (which actually contain liquid, not gas) get cold, the liquid sinks to the bottom of the canister. It's looking like I will need to replace the control valve to a lindal valve and possible replace the fuel line to the stove. If it has a screw-type lindal connector then it can be connected to a remote stove with no need for an adapter.

It would have taken a lot of effort to establish a new standard just to be able to sell non Lindal sourced valves on their canisters. They help us to identify popular products and understand your browsing habits so we can display relevant adverts to you.As 2023 comes to an end, Three Points of the Compass takes a glance at a handful of items of gear that accompanied me on trail.

You must remember that these connections effect a gas seal with the o ring fitted in the female fittings, so you must ensure that you don't compromise this seal by damaging either the o ring or the blue plastic clamping mechanism. These can be used with the CV270 (355g/230g gas, now discontinued), CV300 Plus (330g/240g gas) and CV470 Plus (550g/450g gas) canisters. I believe I will have to scrap that portion of my setup and purchase a new burner that takes a more readily available canister. My canister top Soto Windmaster stove has a gas regulator but the design of that stove means it will not fit the adapter.

However, there are a couple of special stoves that will allow you to use either type of canister: screw-on and Easy-Clic. Most camping stoves are just compatible with screw-on canisters and some are just compatible with Easy-Clic canisters.Remember, if you empty a gas canister in a bothy, pack it out please, ideally accompanied by some previously abandoned rubbish too. Some of these alternative containers can work out a good deal cheaper for their contents than those found in lindal valved canisters. All I can say is that the link I provided is the actual seller from where I purchased mine and the adapter I have shown is the one that was sent to me, if some time ago.
