Follow the Thames Path, enjoying open views of the Thames and passing by Hampton Court Park and Golf Course. I hope you enjoy playing around with it and that it helps you discover new-to-you areas of the UK capital. On the way, you’ll take in the best of Richmond, from the little lanes to the Thames Path. At the end, you’ll have options for continuing your walk in whatever way suits your tastes.

This is one of the most beautiful hidden walks in London, with wooded areas, incredible greenery, posh park paths, great architecture, and creepy cemetery vibes. Enter Wandsworth Common, following the path beside the railway line. Pass the ponds and continue towards the houses. Wander around Golders Hill Park and West Heath, where you’ll see incredible flower gardens, the zoo, lush woods, and panoramic views. This is a great walk for kids and dogs, too. Along the way you’ll pass the National Maritime Museum, Old Royal Naval College, Queen’s House, Cutty Sark, and Royal Observatory. You’ll also see local pubs and go through vibrant markets. As you continue, you’ll pass by Thames Ditton Island, Swan Island, and Boyle Farm Island, all with incredible views, greenery and wildlife.

As you approach the river’s edge, you’ll join the Thames Path National Trail, then turn right on Odessa Street. This secret London walk is ideal if you want to get to know a part of London locals love. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the city, and it feels like a country village right in the UK capital. Whether you love London canal walks or walks around London Bridge, you’ll find what you’re looking for. Finish at Wimbledon Park Station: The section concludes at Wimbledon Park station on the District Line. This leafy, waterside section of the Thames is lovely even when it’s spitting rain. You’ll meander around and over the rivers and canals, passing posh high streets, historic pubs, manors and mansions.Exit the common and cross into Fontenoy Road. Turn right into Bedford Hill and then left into Ritherdon Road.
