Spanning Queen's triumphant first act, from 1974 to 1980, 'Greatest Hits' includes some of the world's most beloved rock standards, including the stadium-sized symphonic chart-topper Bohemian Rhapsody and the roof-raising We Are The Champions, which was named the most catchy song of all time by a team of scientists in 2011.The book, although it is a great addition, doesn't have a lot of new reading material to hardcore fans (like me).

The hardback book is the same size as an LP, although thicker of course, with black cover and gold logo/text/crest. That triple-album set is now replicated but in the form of a 6LP coloured vinyl box set, due in June. The choices they used were fantastic, though I just wish they made Queen II 45rpm instead of two etchings. The package containing all three of Queen’s Greatest Hits albums originally launched on CD in 2000 and was re-released in 2011 to mark the band’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

You have to keep in mind that this was re-pressed at Optimal which is now having problems keeping up with demand and is pressed on coloured vinyl. very pleased with the overall quality, vinyl is as good as any new vinyl release, no issues noted, and did not feel the RCM needed a run at all.
