For example, an A5 card blank is an A4 sheet — which, when folded in half, becomes a card with an A5-sized front. By comparing the dimensions presented, every size of paper from A0 down to A10 retain their proportions between width and length. This means the width of the A6 paper size is equal to the length of the A7 format. Similarly, the length of the A6 paper size is equal to the width of the A5 format. There really is no objective reason why anyone would choose A6 (105 × 148 millimeters) over A5 (148 × 210 millimeters) or A7 (74 × 105 millimeters) paper.
