About this deal

I’ve found over the years that the best tasting strawberries have been infused with a dry alcohol. Prosecco, Champagne, Vodka, Rum, White wine, Red wine or Rosé work really well with strawberries. Coating them in granulated white sugar creates a sweet syrup of strawberry mixed with the alcohol that you can dip them in when serving! Let macerate for 10 days. It’s possible to macerate strawberries for as little as 5 days up to 20 days. If you don’t want to discard the leftover strawberries there are a lot of different ways you can use them. Strawberry Cream Liqueur is a creamy liqueur, just like Limoncello Cream but with strawberry flavor. It’s almost a dessert all on its own.

I would recommend infusing the strawberries for between 7-10 days. The longer they infuse the stronger the flavoror. Does Infused Strawberry Vodka need to be refrigerated? Stir your strawberries a couple of times while they soak to make sure they throughly soak up the alcohol.Any strawberries that started to soften or turn a burgundy/brown-ish color should not be used to make the liqueur. Sugar- you can substitute for monkfruit sweetener, or turbanado sugar for less calories and a switch up in texture. Monkfruit sweeter is keto friendly with zero calories and zero carbs, while turbanado sugar also tends to have less calories than white sugar and a larger grain texture. The alcohol will sanitize and preserve the drink, so that it should last between 1- 2 years. After this time it will start to lose colour and flavour. What do you do with the leftover vodka soaked fruit? This is how I like to serve it on hot summer days. It is easy. I use the measurement ratio 1:3. So if you have a 180 ml/ 6 fl oz glass then add 90 ml/ 9 fl oz vodka and 120 ml/ 4 fl oz lemonade.

Next to Chocolate Covered Strawberries, alcohol infused Strawberries are the next best thing. Drunken strawberries with your choice of alcohol will become your new best friend.

Close the jar and leave the strawberry vodka to infuse in a cool dark place. I kept mine in the kitchen cupboard. (Within a few hours the vodka will absorb the colour of the strawberries. After a week the strawberries will appear almost white.) Absolutely! Freeze prepared strawberries on a lined baking pan or transfer them to an airtight container. Freeze for up to 3 months and enjoy! When you are ready to serve, take a bowl of white sugar and dip each strawberry into the bowl, rolling around until edges have desired sugar cover. Place completed alcohol infused strawberries on a serving dish, and enjoy immediately. If you Strawberry cream liqueur tends to have a little uneven texture simply blend it in a food processor or with a blender. Remove the stems and cut each berry into small dices. As an alternative you can cut them in thin rounds.

Completely pat dry each berry to help the sugar coating last longer. The alcohol infused strawberries are now full of Prosecco, so removing excess liquid will not lessen the boozy effects.

Recipe

After this time, strain the strawberries through a fine mesh sieve or cheese cloth. Capture the vodka and fill into a bottle or gift bottles as desired. When you’re ready to make strawberry liqueur, prepare the syrup at least a few hours in advance. Prepare Sugar Syrup and/or Cream Syrup In a pot add water and sugar and bring everything to a boil. Mix well making sure all sugar is dissolved. Let cool completely. In case you’re preparing both classic and creamy version, first divide strawberry alcohol in 2 equal parts. By weight you should get approximately 450 grams total or 225 grams for each of the liqueurs. A diet friendly indulgence! This recipe is dairy free, gluten free, and vegan and can easily be made keto friendly with one small modification.

Our boozy strawberries recipe is so simple, it makes it e asy to prepare large servings if your expecting a large number of guests! Just presoak your strawberries in Prosecco and let your guests add the sugar. If you are looking for a more keto friendly option, monkfruit sweetener is the way to go. The texture is comparable to white sugar, and when paired with Prosecco, a low carb alcoholic beverage, and strawberries a relatively low carb fruit, it makes the perfect keto friendly indulgence. If you want to prepare only classic strawberry liqueur make sure to double the syrup and once it’s completely cool mix with strawberry alcohol.

No need to buy fancy syringes or expensive liquor to have all the desired flavor and effects of alcohol infused strawberries. Simply soak these strawberries in your favorite Prosecco and follow our easy steps, and you're in for a treat! If your dip the strawberries too early before serving, the sugar turns into more of a syrup. While still delicious, it changes the texture and appearance of your strawberries. For best results, d ip the strawberries immediately before serving, or have the sugar out for guests to dip their own strawberries, (similar to how one would dip a strawberry into a chocolate fountain.) Prosecco - you can create alcohol infused strawberries with pretty much any dry alcohol. Some substitutes include champagne, vodka, rum, white wine, red wine or rose. It does not hurt to refrigerate the vodka, but it is not necessary. The alcohol in the vodka will preserve the strawberries and prevent bacteria from growing. However, if the strawberries are not fully submerged in the vodka I would recommend storing it in the fridge. How long will this strawberry flavoured vodka last? Puree the vodka soaked strawberries and then add some lemonade. This makes it a strawberry vodka slush.
