If you actually want to become free from the contamination of this material world, then you should always be engaged in chanting, sankirtanam. Along with Ramon Mahesh's translation/condensation, this is my favorite version in English of what to me is the greatest, most moving text of Indian spirituality. These stories transport the reader from the mundane and commonplace, beckoning him to participate in a miraculous journey to a transcendental realm beyond space and time, a realm where everything and everyone ! All beauty, power, wealth, knowledge, wisdom and whatever else we find attractive have their source in him.

During a dream, we may make contact with so many new kinds of bodies, but when we are awake we forget them all. but through our indentification and attachment with material energy [physical body, sense pleasures, material possessions, ego, etc,] our true TRANSCENDENTAL CONSCIOUSNESS has been polluted, and like a dirty mirror is unable to reflect a pure image.
