About this deal

Although aimed at doctors - this book has been very valuable for my nurse education. I've also managed to link it into my work in pharmacy and it has served me very well. As student nurses, we rotate wards very frequently and every time we do, we have a whole different variety of conditions thrown at us to manage, and this book provides essential underpinning knowledge on the conditions to help ensure we are providing the best patient care that we can.

I always dreamed of setting up a resource that focused purely on helping medical students achieve more in medical school and ease the burden of facing complicated and overwhelming textbooks, lectures and journals. I took a year out of training after Foundation Year 2 with the objective of making this dream a reality. Helpful “Tom Tips” are included to help you score those extra marks on points that examiners love to test. The focus is on learning the concepts, vocabulary ,and latest guidelines so you can take the fastest route to exam success and proficiency as a new doctor. The books contain all the written information for different specialities in an easy to follow and clear format. They are designed specifically for learning and revising, perfect for additional note taking and highlighting. Audiobooks are also available. Testing yourself is the most efficient and effective way to learn and retain the knowledge you need for exams. These flashcards are an illustrated, colourful and highly visual tool for learning the key information in clinical medicine. Each flashcard includes an illustration and questions on the front, with the answers on the reverse. They are based on the content of the Zero to Finals books, making them the perfect addition to studying the book. This is an excellent resource for medical students and I wish I had this since my first year studying medicine. Honestly it would have made it so much easier for me to understand different conditions and medical topics if had known about this earlier. I employ extensive effort to ensure the information is accurate and up to date. However, it is not perfect, and research, guidelines and best practice are constantly changing. There will be errors despite my best efforts. I would be very grateful if you point them out when you find them. Do not accept anything as fact without questioning it.

there are lots of zero to finals resources on the main website

The “learn” section is built from the ground up with your understanding, learning and revision in mind. This is the foundation of the Zero To Finals resource. It contains concise and easy to digest written material on the key information you need to know to successfully complete medical school and hit the ground running as a doctor. The skills needed to practice medicine, surgery, and other healthcare roles are broad and complex. There is a limit to what you can learn from one resource. You need to develop clinical judgment, experience and context-specific decision-making skills that cannot be learned in one place. It is crucial to develop your ability to find the best resources and data to guide your clinical practice. Attend clinical placements, listen to your tutors and supervisors and ask for help. Use a variety of up to date guidelines, protocols, research and other resources when preparing for exams and treating patients. Nothing alone is entirely reliable and accurate. Each set contains 150 flashcards with over 1000 questions on the most common facts tested in medical exams. My name is Tom. I am enthusiastic about learning and teaching medicine. I have been through medical school, survived, and completed my foundation training and GP training in the NHS. You can find out more about me here. Zero to Finals is a resource dedicated to helping medical students and other healthcare professionals prepare for exams. By using the Zero to Finals resources, you agree that Zero to Finals and those involved in creating the resources are not responsible for any actions you take or do not take based on the information provided.
