Damn this book surprised me, at first I wasn’t sure I was into it and then bam I couldn’t put it down! The only bone I have to pick is how Quinton’s stubbornness has him placing blame on Oakley for essentially not being a mind reader. The decision to revisit it was prompted by the recent release of "Caught Stealing," the second book in the series, and my somewhat forgetful memory necessitating a refresher on the events of the inaugural book. Some points/aspects I disliked from the story are a few and to be honest, I may sound petty but wanted this to be better than it was, after reading all those 5 and 4 stars 🌟 reviews.

I like reading about hockey so I liked seeing two main characters on the ice, loving and hating each other almost at the same time.We know hockey players can be very superstitious, so they come to an agreement to continue these steamy encounters to see if they win again….

But, Quinton is persistent and doesn’t give up, he continues to chase Oakley until he finally gives in. But he doesn’t want the attention because of them he wants it because of his own actions and his own skills.I must add too, that I finished the book because I obviously liked too, in no way is this book horrible or 🚮. Quinn turned out to be clingier than Oakley and I definitely thought it was going to be the other way around.
