About this deal

You can choose one of two dosing devices available – Either a Liquid Dosing Ball for liquid or gel detergent or a Powder Scoop. Some laundry balls like Ecozone Ecoballs even come with the option to refill them with detergent or washing pellets when their original detergent begins to run low, but be sure to take note that bleach should never be mixed with or used alongside these balls. Not sure how much washing powder or liquid to use? Don't worry - you just need the Persil washing powder scoop and dosing ball.

Both employees and self-employed workers will pay less in National Insurance from next year, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has announced in today's Autumn Statement. The Persil dosing ball can be used to measure the right amount of concentrated liquid to add to your washing machine. It has two dosing lines, one at 35ml and the other at 50ml. Fill the dosing device with roughly 27ml of liquid detergent for standard loads which is just under the 35ml line on the dosing device. For heavier, more soiled loads fill the dosing device with roughly 40ml of liquid detergent, which is in between the two incremental lines on the dosing device. Anyone who has used a washing liquid dosing ball will know just how useful they are. Not only do they allow you to precisely dose the right amount of washing liquid for your laundry (saving on detergent waste), but they also allow you to pre-treat stains. That means you can get outstanding stain removal in the first wash! There's nothing more annoying than putting on a load of washing only to have the clothes come out with a soapy residue because you've accidentally used too much washing powder or to have them come out still dirty because you used too little. But how do we know how much washing powder to use to avoid these issues? Sadly, these helpful measuring devices aren’t readily available in every shop, so they can be hard to come by.

Why Use a Laundry Ball Instead of Regular Detergent?

Have you been advised to use a dosing ball to measure out your liquid laundry detergent in your washing machine? You might be having a hard time finding such a tool! As a final option, you could always consider getting a different type of detergent if you’re not comfortable using the alternative methods above and you really cannot be without a dosing ball. Autumn Statement: Workers to pay less in national insurance – but rate cuts don't offset the freezing of personal tax thresholds Absolutely! Both the Persil washing powder scoop for powdered detergents and the Persil dosing ball for liquid detergents can be used to measure just the right amount of detergent to use if you’d prefer to hand wash your clothes - a great alternative to machine washing for very delicate fabrics or heirloom garments. It’s not an essential tool that you must have at home, though. There are other ways you can measure and add detergent to an appliance ready for a washing cycle.

By doing this, you can pour the correct amount of liquid into the washing machine. In turn, you shouldn’t waste any cleaning product or use too little of it. As noted above, you can measure out a correct dose of liquid laundry detergent in several ways – choose the most straightforward method for you. Unfortunately, Persil stopped giving dosing balls out in 2022 because research indicated that lots of households had multiple dosing balls at home. However, you cannot put the actual measuring jug into the heart of the appliance because it won’t be able to withstand the heat and agitation that the machine throws at it (this is especially true if your jug is made from glass!).In addition, they work to reduce the negative ions in the water, thus creating a natural effect similar to that of hydrogen peroxide. It’s not unheard of for people to use the bottom of a laundry dosing ball to rub detergent into a stain to pre-treat it. A laundry ball will generally be composed of plastic or rubber on the outside and then will have a number of bio-ceramic balls inside that contain minerals and magnets. A measuring jug works in a similar way to the cup method above, in the sense that you pour a measure (in ml) of detergent into the jug and pop the liquid detergent inside the washing machine.

The other reason we love them? Once you have one, you can save it and reuse it – which means we will be able to cut down on plastic waste. Using your liquid detergent dosing ball If you don’t have a dosing ball at hand, you could pour your liquid detergent directly into your washing machine’s detergent drawer.

Giveaways for Students

The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has today (Wednesday 22 November) announced a range of tax, benefits and savings measures. We round up the key announcements and what they mean for you. You cannot put the measuring cup inside the washing machine because it won’t be able to withstand the heat and pressure of the machine. If you have been looking for an eco-friendly alternative to laundry detergent, then introducing laundry balls into your household could reduce your carbon footprint while simultaneously bringing down costs. In this case, you can either pour the detergent into the washing machine’s drawer or into the drum (make sure the detergent won’t stain any material beforehand).

But this option does allow you to accurately pour a measure of liquid laundry detergent so you’ll be able to clean your dirty washing effectively. It is likely that laundry balls are somewhat less effective than a detergent would be as you cannot alter the amount that is added to the machine with each cycle. The device is easy to use – simply pour in your chosen product and until it reaches the relevant fill line for your washing machine. There’s no need for guesswork and no messing around trying to read dirty containers! Lots of helpful items are given away during Fresher’s Week, and they’re usually geared towards making a uni experience easier. Our liquid detergent dosing ball allows you to dose the right amount of washing liquid for your laundry, as well as pre-treating stains, for outstanding stain removal in the first wash. Plus reusing your doser will help us reduce plastic waste. NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Ulster Bank, which are all part of the NatWest Group, will now shut at least 172 of their bank branches in 2023 and 2024.
