About this deal

My first brush with Organza was an estate sale - lady had a bottle of the lotion for sale so I picked it up- however she wanted too too much money for a used bottle of lotion! Fortunately, I happen to adore the fragrances of the 80s and 90s, so I am fine with her powerhouse presence.

Tuberose is a flower that I never tire of and every time I smell a tuberose perfume done right, I am in heaven. Organza is the embodiment of godess, Fairy Queen, White witch, Queen of Wonderland, Queen Cleopatra, old hollywood glamour movie star. I also suspect that the florals project through the vanilla in the silage more than maybe I am aware. It's not my favorite fall scent for myself (that goes to Armani Mania, which incidentally my mom bought me over 10 years ago for my 18th birthday- I'm now on my 3rd or 4th bottle) but it will always hold an extra special place in my heart that no other scent comes close to (except maybe Erox Realm which my mom also loves.

However it can’t be just me… and I’d never thought in a million years I’d say this but, I smell hints of Vivienne Westwood Boudoir. That animalic post coitus scent is very similar to Boudoir in the opening in Organza (perhaps it’s the “green notes” listed here) . I had the same problem with Perris Monte Carlo Jasmine de Pays, it smelt horrendous on me, my skin chemistry can sometimes turn Jasmine so rotten on me.

I have not tried the vintage but I love this new formulation I feel like it could be watered down from what people say but I think it being watered down is helpful to women nowadays. In conclusion, I really wanted to love this, especially given how beautiful the bottle is, but I suppose the empty bottle will have to remain decorative for the future. Composed of white flowers enhanced with vanilla, this voluptuous fragrance reveals women's sensuality with elegance. I actually like the scent though not my usual taste, I find it sweet white flowers with a bit of powdery haze, but God! It is sweet and thick and feels dated, though I do have a few vintage scents in my collection that I love, this one is an absolute no for me.I guess the reviews are true meaning that reformulation sometimes messes up the original beauty of fragrances. Givenchy is one of my all time favorite houses, and it’s perfumes like this that reaffirm my love for them.

absolutely a cold weather fragrance and to be sprayed once and walked into, not directly on skin or you will find yourself w a headache and others around you will become nauseous.By the way, there's something in the late drydown that reminds me of another Sophie Labbe creation, Boss Woman. The peony and its dainty freshness combined with an uncanny trio of salacious gardenia, cosmetic iris and that smell which wafts from ripe walnuts, shell intact, seemed to produce dreamy billows of the kind I find in Poison, Amarige and even Paris. This is followed by the lingering memory of vanilla and iris, amber, mace and nutmeg and woods in the base. Delicious root beer float while sitting on the steps of the attic wearing mother's old wedding dress and there is a hint of old gardenia perfume in the silk of the dress. Give it time to settle, there's a lot in the opening but I promise it becomes very mild to be honest.
