Noilly Prat is produced in Marseillan, in the South of France, by the same methods since it was first created in 1813 by Louis Noilly. It has an aromatic blend of herbs and spices which gently infuses the wines to create a unique bouquet and taste.

It was to mimic this natural process that Joseph Noilly, in 1813, designed a process that made France's first vermouth. An aromatic blend of 20 different herbs and spices sourced from all over the world are used to gently infuse the wines. Original Dry Vermouth Noilly Prat Original Dry Vermouth is a French fortified wine crafted using the finest white wines.

Noilly Prat is widely used in cooking, and extensively used for sauces, especially to accompany fish. The Noilly Prat Vermouth is made thanks to a traditional craft, from the outdoor ageing process (only applies to Original Dry and Extra Dry) to the unique maceration process known as the dodinage (stirring by hand). Red Noilly Prat is made in the same way, but with the addition of 30 flavourings, which produce the rich red colour. The Noilly Prat company is based in Marseillan, in the Hérault department of southern France (it lies some 50 km west of Montpellier) and exclusively use white grape varieties grown in the Marseillan area.First created by Louis Noilly in 1813, Noilly Prat Dry is a classic French aperitif and a must for any enthusiast.
