I get a beautiful bourbon vanilla in this on the dry drown, the note listing doesn't include vanilla, and that may or may not be the case in actuality, maybe the combination of notes does create that smell for me. For me, this fragrance started off as a boozy blast from the first spray, personally way too strong for my liking, but then dried down into a beautifully sweet, syrupy, glowing scent, as the (at first) overpowering rum note slowly fades down and compliments the glowing, leathery undertones. The person (sorry man, as this a very masculine scent and I think this would 'age' a woman if she wore this, I think a woman would have to be over 'a certain age (75) to pull this off) the man who wears this you want to look after those important clients, secure that appointment, crunch over the numbers and deliver the message to the stakeholders.NB: For a leathery fragrance, I recently purchased John Varvatos Dark Rebel and that is definitely more to my liking.
