Paisley’s MSP George Adam has made Christmas a bit more special this year, by choosing local artist Garry Byars painting “Paisley Abbey in the snow”, to be his official 2013 Christmas card.
George, who used local company Minuteman Press to print the cards said, “I have known Garry for some time now and I recognise the work that he has completed, working with local organisations to inspire and work creatively in a positive manner. I have one of Garry’s paintings hanging in my parliament office in Edinburgh and love his take on the many historic buildings we have in our town.”
Garry who operates the Sunshine Gallery from the Paisley Shopping Centre In-Shops said “It’s great to know that my painting will be viewed by so many, George is a genuine down to earth guy and it’s my honour that he has chosen my artwork”.
As well as exhibiting local artist artwork, Garry has 16 paintings from around Paisley as framed limited prints and Christmas Cards giving a brief history of the town.
